VR25 Series 1600VDC wkg 5% Tolerance
Quite often valve circuit schematics specify large value resistors, such as 2M2 as a common example, for grid 'leak' (bias), or for a low current divider chain shunting series capacitors to maintain equal voltage drop across like values. I once had to repair my 'scope with a couple of 'em after the brightness control went very OTT, due to the original carbon resistors in the electron gun grid circuit not being able to take the EHT any more and going phut. Described as high resistance with good stability and high reliability, specifically suited to high voltage applications. Hence also very well suited to HT rail, power-off safety discharge usage (although if you're using pairs of them to equalise the drop across two series electrolytics then they'll do both jobs). As input grid bias resistors I haven't noticed them to be particularly noisy at all. (Also have a pretty pale blue colour.) 'Normal' 3-band colour coding. |

Important please note that these and any other small components will be sent in a separate packet, i.e. not included with a parcel containing transformers etc. if these were ordered at the same time. Also I have to ask for an extra £6.13 to cover postage, handling and insurance cost for each parcel containing components. This will be added to the carriage charge box on the final order form page.
