'Ultra' SE 12–15W Framed Output Transformer
	Order No. VT1091 Price £60.80 A larger version of our 'Super Universal SE5–10W' output transformer VT1090. A grain oriented, gapped, 33mm thick core stack with 6-section windings on a larger frame size ensure good performance for Hi-Fi enthusiasts wishing to build high quality single-ended designs. The possible output valve combinations include any single-ended stage of 5 to 20W, from single EL84, 6L6 etc. @ 5W, KT88, 300B etc. @ 10W, up to twin paralleled valves for 20W (see 'Applications'). The primary has balanced taps for 5kΩ  and 2.4kΩ to match various output valves in both tetrode and triode modes of operation, and it can also be employed in SE guitar amplifier designs. To please those guitarists wishing to build new 15 – 20W amps, or replacing a transformer in existing equipment, the transformer includes traditional 4, 8 and 16Ω speaker taps. Higher outputs are possible depending on the chosen circuit and sound / performance required. Best Hi-Fi performance is achieved from the 8 and 16Ω  taps, and negative feedback (if used) should be taken from the 16Ω tap. Frames type mounting. Primary: DC resistance: Max.
