'Excel' Preamplifier Mains Transformer
	Order No. VT426 Price £41.00 Description Small 'drop-through' style mains transformer especially for valve preamplifiers. Originally for Maplin  'Newton' project as ST29G (now discontinued). In addition to HT and 6.3V heater windings, includes 15V winding for making a smoothed and regulated 12.6V DC heater supply for sensitive input valves (e.g. ECC83/82) using a suitable regulator circuit. Can be mounted in rectangular cut out in top of chassis panel ('drop-through'), but includes a frame for the bottom stack side so can be mounted internally under top panel with only the top cover showing above for 'low profile' (internal chassis height must be 2.5" min.).
